Instead of jumping straight from the lower rate (19%) to the higher rate (25%), there&#8217;s a smooth transition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imagine your tax rate as walking up a staircase. When your profits are at \u00a350,000, you&#8217;re standing on the bottom step, paying 19% tax. As your profits increase, you gradually walk up the stairs. Finally, when you reach \u00a3250,000 in profits, you&#8217;re at the top step, paying 25%. The journey between these two points isn&#8217;t a sudden jump &#8211; it&#8217;s a smooth walk up, with your tax rate increasing a little bit with each step you take. This gradual increase is what we call Marginal Relief.
